Affirmation Counter Privacy Policy

Sogumpapa (hereinafter “Company”) establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act to protect the personal information of data subjects and to promptly and smoothly handle related grievances.


Important: The Affirmation Counter app does not require user registration and does not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, etc.). All data is securely stored on the user’s device.


Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)

The Company processes only minimal information for the following purposes in the Affirmation Counter app:

  • Providing App Features: Affirmation counting, progress tracking, statistics provision
  • Service Improvement: App usage statistics analysis (anonymous)
  • Error Correction: Crash report collection and analysis (anonymous)

Article 2 (Information Collected)

1. On-Device Information (Not Transmitted to Server)

The following information is stored only on the user’s device and is not transmitted to the Company’s servers:

  • Affirmation text (affirmation phrases entered by the user)
  • Goal count and current progress
  • Statistical data such as completed days, consecutive days, and time spent
  • App settings (language, notification settings, etc.)
  • Onboarding completion status

2. Automatically Collected Information (Firebase Analytics)

The following information is collected anonymously for service improvement:

  • App usage events (screen views, feature usage, etc.)
  • Device information (device model, OS version, language settings)
  • App performance data (loading time, error occurrence frequency)
  • Crash reports (when app errors occur)

※ The above information is anonymous data that cannot identify individuals.

3. Information Not Collected

  • Name, email, phone number
  • Location information
  • Contacts
  • Photos or videos
  • Health data
  • Financial information

Article 3 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Information)

  • On-Device Data: Stored on the device until the user deletes the app.
  • Firebase Analytics Data: Retained for 14 months after collection, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days after collection, then automatically deleted.

Article 4 (Third-Party Provision of Personal Information)

The Company does not provide users’ personal information to third parties.

However, anonymous statistical data is processed using the following service:

Google Firebase

  • Provided Items: App usage events, device information, crash reports (anonymous)
  • Purpose of Provision: Service improvement, error correction
  • Retention Period: According to Firebase policy (14 months)

Article 5 (Destruction of Personal Information)

  • On-Device Data: All data is automatically deleted when the app is deleted.
  • Firebase Data: Automatically deleted when the retention period expires.

Article 6 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them)

Users may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Data Deletion: You can delete all data in the app settings or remove all information by deleting the app.
  • Inquiries and Complaints: You can contact the Personal Information Protection Officer below.

Article 7 (Personal Information Protection Officer)

The Company designates a Personal Information Protection Officer to oversee personal information processing and to handle complaints and remedy damages related to personal information processing as follows:

Article 8 (Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information)

The Company takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:

  • No collection of personally identifiable information
  • All affirmation data is stored only on the device (not transmitted to server)
  • Firebase Analytics collects only anonymized data
  • Regular security updates

Article 9 (Permission Usage)

The Affirmation Counter app uses the following permissions:

Microphone (Required)

Affirmation counting through voice recognition
※ Voice data is processed only on the device and is not transmitted to the server.

Speech Recognition (Required)

Matching affirmations with voice
※ Uses Apple’s speech recognition API, and Apple’s privacy policy applies.

Notifications (Optional)

Affirmation time reminders


Article 10 (Advertising)

The current version of the Affirmation Counter does not include advertising. If advertising is added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and announced in advance.


Article 11 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

This Privacy Policy is applied from the effective date, and in case of additions, deletions, and corrections of changes according to laws and policies, it will be announced through in-app notifications at least 7 days before the implementation of changes.
